Winter Weather Preparedness Week: Assemble Emergency Kits

Wake County Government in Raleigh, North Carolina, has announced that December 1-7 is designated as Winter Weather Preparedness Week. During this week, officials will share daily tips to help the community prepare for winter conditions.
Today's advice focuses on being proactive. Residents are encouraged to assemble an emergency kit in advance of winter storms. Essential items to include are flashlights, batteries, and blankets, as power outages may occur during severe weather events.
