**Wake County Honors Dedicated Volunteer with Outstanding Service Award**
Raleigh, NC – The Wake County Soil and Water Conservation District has recognized Clay Reichle with the Outstanding Volunteer Award for his invaluable contributions to the Wake County Big Sweep program since 2018.
Clay has been a key figure in the program, particularly during watercraft sweeps, where his dedication and organizational skills have consistently stood out. He has taken the lead in various tasks, from setup and logistics to coordinating meals and participating directly in cleanup efforts.
A significant highlight this year was Clay's instrumental role in securing a major donation from Heidelberg Materials, which provided boats and a trailer to support the Big Sweep program. Clay played a critical part in this success, conducting thorough research on equipment options and managing communications throughout the process.
The Soil and Water Conservation District expressed deep appreciation for Clay's leadership and commitment, which inspire fellow volunteers and drive meaningful community change. This award celebrates his ongoing efforts to keep Wake County’s waterways clean and protected.
