**Hawk Gains Attention at San Diego Miramar College**

San Diego Miramar College, part of the San Diego Community College District, is seeing its unofficial wildlife celebrity rise to fame. While Jimmy the Jet remains the school’s official mascot, a hawk has captured the admiration of college staff and students alike.

The hawk has made a habit of frequenting the Student Services building on the south side of the campus. Its presence has not gone unnoticed, quickly garnering attention and becoming a local favorite among the college staff.

David Brooks documented this avian visitor through photography, further highlighting this new “guest” at the college. As the hawk continues to make appearances, it adds a unique element to the campus environment.

San Diego Miramar College might have found an additional symbol to celebrate its community, even if unofficially, through this feathered newcomer.
