Officer Mark Adams Honored as Cares of the Month

Staff Report / sarasotalocal.org

Officer Mark Adams, a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Taylor Ranch Elementary, has been recognized as the Sarasota County Schools "SCS Cares of the Month." A parent at the school praised Adams for his vigilance, noting that he prevented a child from being struck by a car after the child wandered away from their parent during the school morning routine. Additionally, during a recent rainstorm, Officer Adams continued to assist with traffic and bus management in the parent pick-up line, courteously declining an umbrella offered by parents. Sarasota County Schools encourages submissions for the "Cares" recognition program through their website at www.sarasotacountyschools.net/scscares.
