Alesia Fondren Honored at West Lake Elementary School

West Lake Elementary School in Apex, North Carolina, has recognized music teacher Alesia Fondren as this week’s APSF Shoutout honoree. Fondren, who also serves as the chorus director, actively builds strong relationships with her students. She makes it a priority to learn every child’s name and greets them at the front door each morning.
In her music classes, Fondren encourages students to showcase their unique talents through brief performances. Her classroom environment fosters trust and safety, allowing children to express themselves freely.
The recognition of Fondren comes with support from FRESH. Local Ice Cream, McDonald's of Apex, and Harnett County. The Wake County Public School System and the Town of Apex Government are also acknowledged for their involvement in celebrating APSF Shoutout recipients.
