Wake County, Apex elections: Tuesday, March 3 primary, early voting
The 2026 primary is on Tuesday, March 3. Early voting runs Thursday, February 12 through Saturday, February 28. The John M. Brown Community Center will be an early voting site, and other Wake County locations follow the same schedule. Use the North Carolina Board of Elections voter search tool to view your sample ballot and confirm your polling place.
Wake County Board of Elections handles voter registration, where to vote, voter ID rules, running for office and precinct maps — call them at (919) 404-4040 or visit their website if you need help. Official election results are posted on the North Carolina State Board of Elections site, so please confirm your registration and polling location before early voting begins.
Apex Town Council elections are held in odd years. The council is the mayor plus five members with staggered four-year terms, and you must be a registered Apex voter to vote for council seats.
Campaign signs are not allowed on town property or in town rights-of-way (parks, water towers, public-safety sites) and may be removed — removed signs are placed beside Town Hall; state-owned roads are regulated by NCDOT, so contact them to report sign violations on those roadways.
