Wake County Students Advance in National Spelling Bee
Three students from Wake County Public Schools in Apex, North Carolina, placed in this year's Carolina Panthers Regional Spelling Bee for North and South Carolina and will now compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Kushi Gottimukkala from Carnage Middle School finished in 1st place. Sach Akella from Mills Park Middle School earned 3rd place, and Holden Good from Moore Square Middle School finished in 4th place. The Scripps National Spelling Bee is scheduled for May 27-29 in Washington, DC.
