Free Veteran Suicide Crisis Training in Caldwell

On March 27, a free Veteran Suicide Crisis and COMPACT Act Training seminar will be held at the Caldwell Veterans Memorial Hall in Caldwell, Idaho. The event is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Participants will learn about the Comprehensive Prevention, Access to Care, and Treatment (COMPACT) Act and its implications for veterans, how to recognize warning signs of suicide, the appropriate questioning, persuasion, and referral techniques for individuals at risk, and the use of crisis centers, mobile crisis units, and services available at the Boise VA Medical Center.

Veterans in need of emergency suicide care may be eligible for the free services being promoted at the event. A coffee service will be provided by the Caldwell Veterans Memorial Hall Coffee Clutch.
