Quilting Event for Veterans at Buckhead Library

Staff Report / ATLlocal.org

**Community Invited to Quilt for Veterans at Buckhead Library**

The Buckhead Branch Library in Atlanta, Georgia, is hosting a special quilting event for adults on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM in Meeting Room B. Participants will join Ms. Pat Kilmark, a seasoned quilter with a passion for the craft, to create a patriotic quilt for a veteran.

Each attendee will contribute by designing their own quilt block, which will then be pieced together into a completed quilt. The finalized quilt will be gifted to a veteran as a meaningful token of appreciation.

All fabric materials for the project will be provided by the library. However, participants are required to bring their own sewing machines, foot control for their machines, scissors, pins, a 1/4" quilting foot, and neutral-tone thread. Attendees are also encouraged to bring any additional crafting supplies they might need.

This event requires registration. Prospective participants can sign up through the Fulton County Library System’s Events Calendar at [fulcolibrary.org](https://fulcolibrary.bibliocommons.com/events/678ad423a26aad5d2e42729b).

For quilting enthusiasts and those eager to honor veterans, this is an opportunity to come together, stitch by stitch, for a meaningful cause.
