On October 9th, 2024, at approximately 9:44 AM, Atlanta Police responded to a report of a residential burglary on Biscayne Drive NW. The homeowner reported to 911 after observing a male suspect breaking into the home and stealing a firearm, as captured on surveillance footage.

Responding officers received a description of the suspect and soon arrived at the scene. They located a male matching the description, who fled on foot through an adjacent apartment complex. The suspect attempted to evade capture by climbing a tall fence but was apprehended by the officers shortly after.

Notably, the suspect, later identified as 33-year-old Kenneth Whack, was found wearing multi-colored socks on his hands in an apparent attempt to conceal his identity. Officers were able to recover the stolen firearm, which Whack had attempted to hide under a bush.
