Suspect Arrested for Auto Theft at Airport

Staff Report / ATLlocal.org

On November 25, 2024, a suspect was apprehended for auto theft at the Rental Car Center of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. An officer on patrol received a report about a suspicious individual and quickly located the suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Jaquavious Crenshaw.

Further investigation revealed that Crenshaw had stolen two vehicles—a Kia Forte and a Kia Sorento—on November 24, 2024. He also attempted to steal an Audi A6 on November 25, but was thwarted by a security barrier.

Crenshaw has been charged with theft by taking (automobile), theft by taking (key fob), prowling, and entering an automobile. This is not the first time he has faced auto theft charges; he has been arrested twice before for similar offenses, including one arrest in 2022 for stealing a vehicle at the same rental center.

Crenshaw was taken to the Fulton County Jail following his arrest. All arrest records and photos are considered public information, and it is important to note that an arrest does not imply guilt. Individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
