Burton Barr Library Respite Center Open 24/7 Until October

The City of Phoenix has announced that the Burton Barr Central Library’s Respite Center will continue to be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until at least October 7, 2023. This decision comes as temperatures are expected to rise in the coming days. The Respite Center provides a safe space for individuals seeking relief from the heat during the summer season.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed and safe as the summer season continues. The initiative is part of the Heat Ready PHX program, which aims to address the heat-related challenges faced by the community.
