Woman Dies in Greeley Two-Vehicle Crash

GREELEY, Colo. — Greeley Police said officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on the 5800 block of 10th Street on Monday, June 22.

Police said the crash was reported at about 5:20 a.m. The initial investigation found that a Honda CR-V driven by a 33-year-old woman was traveling eastbound on 10th Street and collided with a Chrysler sedan traveling westbound. The Chrysler was driven by a 45-year-old woman.

First responders extricated both drivers and began life-saving measures. Both drivers were taken to a local hospital. Police said the driver of the Honda CR-V died from her injuries and was pronounced dead. Her name will be released by the Weld County Coroner’s Office after next-of-kin notification.

Police said a 38-year-old male passenger in the Honda CR-V was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. The driver of the Chrysler was treated for her injuries and has since been released.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information was asked to contact Officer Ed Kubala at Edward.Kubala@greeleypd.com. Police said no further details would be released that day.
