**Early Morning Fire Destroys Casa Grande Home, Sparing Neighbors**

Early this morning, firefighters responded to a residential structure fire on Ash Avenue in Casa Grande. The Casa Grande Fire Department (CGFD), along with assistance from the Eloy Fire District, arrived on the scene within three minutes to battle the blaze. Despite a rapid response, the fire completely destroyed the home.

According to Fire Chief Kean, crews launched an aggressive exterior attack and managed to bring the fire under control within 45 minutes. While the house was a total loss, firefighting efforts successfully minimized damage to neighboring homes. The house to the east sustained only minor exterior damage, and the house to the west experienced minimal impact.

Chief Kean disclosed that preliminary investigations indicated the fire was likely caused by an unattended candle left burning in the living room. This conclusion was drawn from interviews with the home’s occupant conducted by CGFD investigators.

The CGFD issued a reminder to residents about fire safety during the holiday season, stressing the importance of extinguishing candles before leaving a room or going to sleep. They also encouraged the public to ensure they have functioning smoke alarms and to remain vigilant when cooking.

No injuries were reported from the incident.
